Holder for Austrian vehicle safety inspection badge
Area of use: For motorcycles and scooters: enables badges to be attached to/removed from forks/columns with a diameter of up to 8 cm without damaging the paintwork
Material/colour: Plastic/black
Features: Moulded in one piece, permanent attachment, non-transferable
Where to install: Austria's road traffic licensing regulations of 1967 require the badge to be attached to the vehicle in such a way that the punch holes indicating the year and month when the next mandatory inspection is due are clearly visible. Furthermore, the badge must be permanently positioned so that its bottom edge is not less than 40 cm above the road surface, and its top edge not more than 190 cm.
This means it must be attached to the fork or steering stem at the front right only. Addition: On a component that is difficult to remove from the vehicle, and only with tools. Therefore, not on crash bars, luggage racks, footrests, fairings/covers which can be easily unbolted, or open handlebar ends.
Note: This optional badge holder is used on the vehicle owner's own responsibility, and is only approved for Austria.
