FRANZIS PORSCHE CARRERA RACING ENGINE
A legend with a cult following - the Porsche Carrera Racing 547 Engine of the 1950s and 60s. This technical masterpiece of its day propelled sports cars like the Porsche 356 and Porsche 550 Spyder to numerous race victories. For model-building enthusiasts, Porsche fans and collectors of high-quality functional models, this 1:3 scale kit from FRANZIS is a real gem.
The amazingly detailed and authentic Porsche Carrera Race Engine Kit has over 300 parts, which are fitted or screwed together, but not glued! The housing is largely transparent and gives a fascinating view of the model's internal workings. Bevel gears, pistons and valves all move. Ignition sparks are simulated with LEDs. An integrated sound module reproduces the original engine sound. This fantastic construction kit is accompanied by a beautifully produced book, including detailed instructions for building your engine.

The FRANZIS engine kits are wonderful to look at, and are designed for anyone who wants to understand and explain the technology of reciprocating internal combustion engines. The detailed replicas of classic engine concepts offer full visibility thanks to the transparent plastic housing. The crankshaft and camshaft, pistons and connecting rods as well as the entire valve train of the functional models are movable just like the original. Even the ignition sparks are simulated with LEDs. As with the models used as an example, the individual parts of the FRANZIS model engines are screwed or plugged together. The accompanying book with detailed building instructions helps and provides a lot of interesting background information.
