Usually everyone who wants to have a one-handed multi-tool has to make a decision: either he can open the pliers with one hand or the other tools. With the *OHT (One Hand Tool)* Leatherman has the solution in its pocket. A multi-tool with 16 tools that can be operated 100% with one hand: the Leatherman OHT.
This unique multi-tool is equipped with a specially spring-loaded pliers and wire cutting head, which is initially located between the handles (inside). A pressure latch secures the head. After unlocking, the tool can be pushed forward and used. It also works with a casual flinging movement, but you should practice this a bit.
Bulges in the handles and punches on the other tools allow you to make all other tools ready for use with a thumb movement.
Symbols are embossed in the handles to help you quickly find the tools underneath.
Furthermore, the life-saving belt cutter, the wrench for gas bottles, the adapter for standard cleaning sticks and much more make the *OHT* a real workhorse and you always have a free hand.

Tim Leatherman had the idea in 1975 on a trip through Europe in a rickety Fiat 600: for small repairs on the road, you needed a compact tool set that would fit in any pocket. Back in his native Portland, the mechanical engineering graduate set about his design work. Three years later he was able to apply for a patent for his Pocket Survival Tool. What followed was a success story that continues to this day: Multitools from Leatherman are available today in many shapes, sizes and for a wide variety of applications. The excellent reputation of Leatherman tools is not only due to the many creative ideas of the manufacturer, but also and above all to the outstanding quality of these multitools.

MAINTENANCE:
Stainless steel should be cleaned regularly like all other materials, especially after exposure to salty air (near the coast), and also at regular intervals.
Water can easily collect in corners, edges and screw connections, resulting in corrosion. So careful cleaning is important, and if necessary screws should be undone in order to clean the parts thoroughly.
Do not leave rusty steel parts against stainless steel to avoid the rust "contamination".
