Elegant protection for the exposed valve cover of the flat engine which effectively helps to prevent stone chip damage, ugly scratches and expensive damage caused by falls. The guard comprises a basic aluminium frame, a black anodised aluminium pad and a rubber damper.
Sold in pairs including fittings and installation instructions.
Liquid threadlocker (e.g. Order no. 10004020) is required for installation. This is not included in the scope of delivery.

Water and salt encourage corrosion. After cleaning (e.g. with Procycle Special Gel Cleaner, Order no. 10004909), we recommend regularly polishing aluminium parts with standard aluminium polish (e.g. Alu-Magic, Order no. 10004031).

sicher ist es sehr unerfreulich, wenn nach einem Umfaller aus dem Stand der Zylinderschutz Schaden davonträgt. Der Zylinderschutz ist aus Aluminium und soll den Boxer-Ventildeckel vor Steinschlag und schlimmeren bei einem Sturz schützen. Die anfallende Energie (alleine das Motorrad wiegt gut 240 kg) wird durch den Sturzbügel und dem Zylinderschutz absorbiert und somit werden Kratzer oder Schlimmeres am Motor bzw. dem Boxer verhindert. Selbst bei einem, wie von Ihnen geschildert, in Zeitlupe stattfindenden Umfaller ist es fast unmöglich, dass der Bügel oder Zylinderschutz keinen Schaden nimmt. Wir vermuten, dass der Boxermotor noch in gutem Zustand ist. Somit haben unsere Schutzteile genau das getan, wofür sie konstruiert wurden.
